“Stop Paying Ransom, Promoting Banditry In South-East” – Kanu Tells Igbo Leaders

Kanunta Kanu, the younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has called on Igbo leaders to stop promoting banditry in the South-East.

Kanunta Kanu Advises South-East Governors

In a post shared on his Twitter page, Kanu asked South-East governors and politicians to stop promoting banditry by paying ransom to kidnappers.

He maintained that without paying ransoms, the South-East will be free from Fulani kidnappers and bandits who have allegedly been terrorizing the region.

Kanu also lamented that while bandits are being paid millions, IPOB’s security outfit known as Eastern Security Network (ESN), has been vilified and victimized.

He wrote: “Eastern Region MUST be free from the hands of Fulani kidnappers.

“The governors, politicians, and elites should stop promoting banditry in SE by paying ransom to free abductees.

“You pay bandits millions, victimises #ESN & encourage the killings of #Biafrans by @HQNigerianArmy”.

KanyiDaily recalls that the IPOB had recently asked Igbo politicians to stay away from South-East until Nnamdi Kanu is released.
