A student of Bingham University in Karu, Nasarawa state, has been expelled by the institution after he was seen in a viral video flogging his junior colleague.
In the vido circulating on social media, an undergraduate was seen bullying another student believed to be a fresher at one of the varsity’s hostels.
Reacting to the outrage trailing the video, the management of Bingham University condemned the student’s behaviour, adding that it has received complaints over the matter.
The institution in a statement via its Twitter page on Saturday also announced that the student has been expelled in line with the institutions’s zero-tolerance policy on bullying
The statement reads, “The attention of the management of Bingham University has been drawn to a video on Twitter of a student bullying a fellow student posted by Jemima Nnadi.”
“This has since been reported to management and the student has since been expelled in line with University’s zero-tolerance policy on bullying.”
KanyiDaily had also reported how EKSU student, Saheed Adeniran, was caught red-handed while trying to use his roommate for money ritual in Ifaki.
