The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is reportedly planning to marry several wives, just a few days after he took a new bride, Mariam Anako, nine months after the crash of his third marriage to Silekunola Naomi.
KanyiDaily recalls that Queen Naomi had taken to her Instagram page to announce the end of her three-year-old marriage with the Ooni on December 23, 2021.
The third wife, who is a prophetess, disclosed that she tried to make their marriage work but the monarch’s public identity is clashing with his true self.
On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Ooni’s new fourth wife, Mariam Anako who is identified as an oil and gas executive, was taken into the palace in a ceremony graced by her relations from Ebiraland in Kogi State and Ilorin in Kwara State.
It was gathered that Anako was ushered into the palace after a brief traditional rite at the entrance to the premises. She was thereafter led into the palace to meet her husband and other guests waiting to receive her.
After his marriage to Anako, a team of Chiefs from the Palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Wednesday, visited the family of another bride-to-be, Dr. Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda, in the Magodo area of Lagos.
Leadership reported that the monarch has concluded plans to marry Miss Akinmuda who is a Scotland-based Electronic Data Processor and a native of Ondo City in Ondo State.

Another popular blogger, Kemi Ashefon also announced that another woman, Aya Adimula Ashely Afolashade will also be welcomed as a wife to the Ooni of Ife soon.
Nollywood actress, Bimpe Akintunde, who is also rumoured to be one of the monarch’s intended brides, prayed that the new woman, Ashely will be welcomed quickly into the palace so that she can welcome her in as a new wife to the Ooni of Ife.
Taking to the comment section of Ashefon’s Instagram post, Bimpe wrote: “Make Olori Ashley Enter Quick, make she Welcome Me Olori Adebimpe to the Palace tomorrow, Emilokan o (it is my turn).”
