A Nigerian man has been apprehended for allegedly flogging his 5-year-old son with ‘electric wire’ to punish the boy’s mother.
It was gathered that the boy was rescued by neighbors who reported the case to a human rights advocate, Dr. Yolanda George-David.
While being questioned, the father admitted that he flogged his son with his charger cord because he was angry with the boy’s mother.
According to him, he had been telling the child’s mother to carry him but she refused, so he got agitated and flogged the boy with the cord.
The merciless beating left bruises on the boy’s back.
This comes a few after another Nigerian man assaulted and broke his two months old baby’s arm leading to amputation because the baby disturbed his sleep.
