The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has taken a swipe at Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate in Lagos.
Tinubu, who is backing incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for reelection in 2023, spoke on Wednesday when he met his supporters at the Lagos APC secretariat on Acme Road in Ogba.
During the APC caucus meeting, Tinubu’s supporters sang a song in which they described Funke Akindele as an ‘ant’ compared to Sanwo-Olu in the presence of the presidential candidate.
“…Who is Funke Akindele? (she is) an ant in the presence of the father of Lagos (Tinubu),” they sang in Yoruba.
Addressing the gathering in Yoruba, Tinubu said, “Don’t even behave as if you remember that name (Funke Akindele).
“It is a big insult, it is disrespectful. A fowl wants to enter a house, it is bending down, how tall is it in the first place?”
KanyiDaily recalls that Dele Momodu had revealed that the reason he won’t support Bola Tinubu is because the former Lagos governor is a potential dictator.
