Many Injured, Others Killed, Property Worth Millions Destroyed In Onitsha Chemical Market Fire

Property and buildings worth millions of naira have been destroyed in an inferno at the popular Onitsha Chemical market, Anambra State.

Fire At Onitsha Chemical Market

Reports say the fire began at about 12:10 pm on Tuesday when the chemicals stored in the shops started exploding one after another.

Many people were also said to be injured as the chemicals were exploding and hitting people at various points.

The men of the Anambra and Delta state fire service are on the ground battling to put off the fire.

Other reports say about four people have reportedly died from the incident.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported shops and goods worth millions of naira were destroyed in a fire incident at the Tejuosho market in Lagos.
