President Buhari Bags Peace And Security Award In Abu Dhabi

President Muhammadu Buhari has bagged a peace and security award in Abu Dhabi.

Buhari Bags Abu Dhabi Award

The Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Forum, Sheikh Al-Mahfoudh Bin Bayyah and his deputy, Pastor Bob Roberts of the US disclosed this when they visited Buhari in Washington, USA.

Bin Bayyah said they had come to inform the president of the award and to invite him to attend the Abu Dhabi Foundation’s award for the conferment upon him.

He said the award in recognition of Buhari’s outstanding achievements in promoting peace and security.

The secretary general said the conferment was in line with the foundation’s work in fighting religious extremism, promoting peaceful coexistence and dialogue amongst all religions.

Speaking while welcoming the pair, Buhari said the work of the foundation in promoting multi-faith dialogue was as important to the world as it was to Nigeria.

The president also spoke about the need to raise generations of youths devoid of religious extremism and bigotry, urging the group to continue to target the young people who are the promise of the future.

KanyiDaily recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari said he has done his best for Nigeria despite the size, population, and many challenges confronting the country.
