Politicians Using Tribe As An Excuse To Cover Their Evil – Peter Okoye

Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye has averred that politicians are using tribe as an excuse to cover their evil.

Peter Okoye stated this in a tweet on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday afternoon.

According to him, he is an Igbo man married to a Yoruba woman.

He added that Igbos do not hate Yorubas and Yorubas do not hate Igbos either.

Peter Okoye noted that politicians do not like whether one is Igbo or Yoruba, saying that they only care about their pockets.

He, therefore, advised Nigerians to be wiser.

The music star wrote, “I am an lgbo man married to a Yoruba woman! Igbos do not hate Yorubas.

“Neither do Yorubas hate Igbos.
Politicians are using tribe as an excuse to cover their evil.

“They don’t like you whether Igbo or Yoruba.
They only care about their pockets. Be wiser.”

The singer’s comment comes on the heels of tribal discord that is currently dominating the Lagos Governorship race.

Nigerians will on Saturday, March 11 head to the polls to elect a new governor for States of the federation, except for a few states.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians living in Diaspora to support the government of Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’s president-elect.
