Paul Okoye alongside his twin brother, Peter Okoye are staunch supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and by extension, the party itself.
Before the 2023 general elections, there were arguments by the major political parties in the country that the LP has no political structures and thus lacks relevance.
But the LP was able to spring a surprise in the February 25th presidential and national assembly elections, seeing to the victory of several candidates of the party defeating incumbents of the two major parties across states of the federation.
Paul Okoye in a tweet on his official handle on Sunday wondered why all of a sudden all the governors are apologising.
He didn’t, however, mention the name of any governor, assuring that in the forthcoming polls, the party will be singing and counting “Ellu P”, the recently coined pidgin English for Labour Party.
Paul Okoye wrote, “Why all of a sudden all the governors are apologizing? 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ …… this weekend we all will be singing and counting Ellu P 👨👩👧.”
