Davido Reveals Why He Didn’t Pay Tribute To Ifeanyi In His ‘Timeless’ Album [Video]

Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido has revealed why he didn’t pay tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in his new album, ‘Timeless’.

KanyiDaily recalls that Davido released his 17-track album ‘Timeless’ on March 31, after being away from the spotlight following the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

During a press conference in Lagos on Monday, April 17, Davido was asked why he didn’t pay tribute to his late son nor include sad songs in his new album.

The singer explained that his main goal was to release a classic album with minimal or no emotional songs to prevent fans from becoming emotional due to the loss of his son.

”People who have been following songs for years can attest to this. I have always been a happy person, regardless of what I may be going through.

”If sad songs are to come, it will be an entirely different project on its own as I never had plans of combining them,” the singer said.

He also addressed questions about his upcoming “Timeless” concert in Lagos. The concert is scheduled for April 23, 2023, at Tafawa Balewa Square.
