Patience Ozokwor Inaugurated Into Peter Mbah’s Transition Committee In Enugu

Enugu State governor-elect, Peter Mbah has inaugurated a veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, into his transition committee, along with 63 others.

Peter Mbah, who was elected as Enugu governor under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), inaugurated a 64-member transition committee on Thursday.

He thanked the committee for accepting the offer to serve at the Old Government Lodge GRA in Enugu, noting that the members were tasked to produce an implementable action plan in line with his manifesto.

Mbah expressed confidence that the committee’s members, who include technocrats, transparency and accountability advocates, financial and management experts, entrepreneurs, and tech and innovation specialists, would use their vast experience, expertise, and ideas to develop a policy and action plan for his incoming administration.

“Ndi Enugu is grateful to you for doing us this honour to serve and we have no doubt that at the end of this assignment, you are going to help us produce a document that will lead us to our destination,” he said.

He added, “Ndi Enugu chose us today because they believe that we are going to take them through the consequential journey of growth, development and greatness.

“We also chose you because we believe that you will make this journey a verifiable road map. It is our hope that with the vision we have for Enugu State, Enugu State can take back that prominent position which it has always play in the development of this country.”

Sharing the inauguration photos in a post on her Instagram page, Patience Ozokwo, fondly called Mama G, thanked Mbah for the appointment, vowing to serve Enugu people faithfully.

She wrote; “For the love of Enugu State, for the love of my people I will serve faithfully. Thank you @pnmbah, I pray that all the great plans you have for our people will succeed.”

KanyiDaily had reported how PDP’s Peter Mbah defeated Chijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party to win the 2023 Enugu governorship election.
