In a resignation letter dated March 17 and sent to his ward chairman in Karu, Abuja Municipal Area Council, Aduda said his decision takes effect immediately.
Aduda, who is known to be close to FCT minister Nyesom Wike, explained that ongoing leadership problems in the PDP influenced his decision to quit the party.
He also thanked the PDP for giving him the opportunity to hold different elective positions over the years.
Reports indicate that he is likely to move to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Earlier this month, Wike criticised Ireti Kingibe, saying she would not return to the Senate in 2027 and accused her of having no visible achievements.
Aduda lost the FCT senatorial seat to Kingibe in the 2023 election. He later challenged the result in court, but both the election tribunal and the appeal court confirmed Kingibe as the winner.
