Tiwa Savage Confirms She Escaped Kidnap Attempt At Her Home In Lagos

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has confirmed that she escaped being kidnapped at her residence in Lagos State.

KanyiDaily recalls that controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo had revealed that the singer’s new driver conspired with others to kidnap Tiwa Savage after trailing her for some days.

The journalist said the kidnap attempt was foiled with the help of vigilante-style private security, and all of those involved were handed to the police at CID Alagbon in Ikoyi.

In a statement shared on her Instagram page, Tiwa’s management confirmed the security breach at her Lagos residence, adding that suspects are being investigated at the police station.

The statement said the music star and her family are “safe and well.”

“Following recent reports online, we can confirm that on Thursday 13th April 2023 there was a major security breach at the residence of musician Tiwa Savage.

“A number of suspects were caught and are currently being held under investigation at Alagbon police station, Ikoyi.

“Ms Savage and her family are safe and well,” the statement reads.

Sharing the statement, the singer wrote: “Thanks for all the messages ❤️ All is well 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾”

KanyiDaily recalls that Uyi Godson, an associate of popular singer, Wizkid, had threatened to expose rapper D’Prince for allegedly hating on his principal and Tiwa Savage.
