In September 2022, Drake presented McCann and fellow fighter, Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett with Rolex watches after his staggering £3.1million win from betting on their victories at UFC London.
Drake had placed a double bet of £1.9 million on both fighters. McCann secured a remarkable TKO victory over Hannah Goldy with a spinning elbow, while Pimblett submitted Jordan Leavitt in the second round of their bout.
Before the match, Molly McCann was determined not to disappoint Drake who is notorious for his betting “curse,” which came about due to the fact he usually loses his bets after publicizing them on social media.
Aware of Drake’s betting curse, McCann had wrote: “Imagine waking up… you’ve already got nerves. A full sell out crowd [is] coming to watch and then the Drake curse is on you because everyone [he’s] always bet on had ended up losing.”
Following her triumph, Drake took it upon himself personally to congratulate McCann with the watch, a Rolex Daytona, which is worth roughly £40,000.
Molly McCann proudly flaunted her watch during a recent visit to the Capital FM studios, where she spoke with presenter Roman Kemp about her success story.
KanyiDaily recalls that Drake recently shared a screenshot that showed the DNA results done by his father, which stated that they are 30% Nigerian.
