VIDEO: Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar Assumes Office As Chief Of Air Staff

Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar has taken over as the Chief of Air Staff.

Abubakar is the 22nd Chief of Air Staff. He was appointed on Monday by President Bola Tinubu alongside other service chiefs.

Speaking at the handing and taking over ceremony on Thursday, the former CAS, Air Marshal Oludayo Amao, said despite the challenges, his tenure recorded many successes.

In a related development, the Nigerian Navy has said the just-retired Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo will handle over to his successor, Rear Admiral Ikechukwu Ogalla at a public ceremony on Friday, June 23.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has officially assumed office as the 22nd police boss.

The former IG, Usman Baba Alkali, officially handed over to Egbetokun  Wednesday, during a Handing/Taking Over Ceremony of the Inspector-General of Police at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

After assuming the helm of affairs of the police force, Egbetokun assured that the force will strive for excellence and accountability to Nigerians.

He also promised to provide adequate security for Nigerians, with the assistance of other security agencies.
