The blind mechanic, who gave his name as Murtala Shuiabu, said he lost his sight suddenly while driving in 1992.
He said he has been a mechanic for a record number of 28 years ago.
According to him, he developed an ability to detect car faults by solely listening to the engine of a car.
Murtala said he has persevered in his craft because of his passion and to feed himself.
When interviewed by a man whose car he repaired on how he manages to fix cars without seeing, Shuiabu revealed his remarkable sensory abilities.
His intuitive understanding extends even further, as he can determine the size of a spanner by touch alone.
