‘My Daughter Lied To Me’- Mmesoma Ejikeme’s Father Tenders Apology To JAMB, Nigerians

Romanus Ejikeme, Mmesoma’s father has apologised to the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) after his daughter confessed that she manipulated her UTME result score.

He said his daughter lied to him initially.

Kanyi Daily earlier reported that Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State had set up a committee mandated to investigate the alleged falsification of the result of UTME result confirming that Mmesoma Ejikeme manipulated her result.

The committee, in a report addressed to the governor on Friday, said that it reviewed Mmesoma‘s JAMB results and conducted interviews with relevant parties, including JAMB officials and other individuals involved.

Romanus had defended his daughter after JAMB accused her of using software to manipulate her score to 362 as against 249.

“My daughter has been taking the first position from her nursery school till now. Some of these results are still with me and I have shown them to some journalists who came to my house and they were surprised.

“I showed her results to them and they were like wow. Those who have met with her will know she can’t manipulate results.

“I am just explaining to the world that my daughter’s result has been manipulated. I am not happy about it, they gave her results to another person and they are still intimidating her. What they are doing is not good” he had earlier said.

In the latest update, Mmesoma confessed that she forged her UTME results, deceiving her school, her immediate family, and the state government.

Following the admission of his daughter over wrongdoing, Romanus has tendered his unreserved apology to JAMB and Nigerians at large.

Meanwhile, JAMB earlier said it had withdrawn Ejikeme Mmesoma’s 2023 UTME result and also barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years.
