The command gave the nine security tips in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Sunday evening.
It is unclear why the command issued the tips to residents of the state, Ogun is one of the states with high crime rates in the country.
The tweet reads, “Be Security conscious by doing the following tips.
1. Avoid being predictable.
2. Learn to keep some secrets.
3. Avoid keeping late hours.
4. Avoid lifting strangers
5. Watch your use of social media.
6. When you attend parties, don’t let the band get you so high that your start spraying money. Use an envelope instead.
7. Don’t be the kind of person who always tries to empty the ATM machine by making large withdrawals. You don’t need 50k in your wallet to feel like a man.
8. Don’t try to show you’re the richest in your neighbourhood by making large donations, apply modesty.
9. Be accountable to your spouse or your friend(s), let someone knows where you are at every point.”
