The 55-year-old actress took to her Instagram page to share a video featuring various supporters of Nnamdi Kanu, who were also calling for his release.
Rita Edochie emphasized that once the IPOB leader is released, the unrest and violence in the Southeast region will become a thing of the past.
She also criticized the “elites” who send their own children abroad to live while using the children of the less privileged to incite unrest in the region.
“Release Mazi Nnamdi Okwu today and see the unrest in the South-East become history.
“Stop playing with people’s lives, especially all you elites, that your children are overseas and you are using other people’s children to create unrest.”
“If you are one of them, your generation and generation to come will never know peace” she wrote.
