Actress Mercy Johnson Teaches Her Daughters How To Pound Yam [Video]

Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie has shared a video of her daughters pounding yam in their hometown of Uromi, Edo State.

In the video shared on her Instagram page, Mercy Johnson’s eldest daughters could be seen engaging in the task of pounding yam, a cherished traditional culinary practice embedded in numerous Nigerian households.

Playfully addressing her daughters as ‘Uromi babes,’ the actress emphasized their connection to their hometown and its cherished customs.

Adding a touch of humor to her post, Mercy Johnson stated that if her daughters could enjoy the taste of pounded yam, they should also have the prowess to master the art of pounding it.

Sharing the video, she wrote: “Uromi babes. If you can eat then you can pound”
