Nkechi Blessing was said to have been promoting a skincare brand without a NAFDAC (National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) number.
An Instagram user commented on one of Nkechi’s posts, informing her that VeryDarkMan, known for raising awareness about similar unregistered products, would be addressing her advertising.
The actress responded defiantly, dismissing the IG user’s warning.
VeryDarkMan revealed that he received screenshots of Nkechi’s comments, prompting him to investigate the skincare brand that the actress had endorsed.
According to him, his inquiry revealed that the brand allegedly lacked a NAFDAC number, and this brand even produced skincare products for children.
VeryDarkMan then called out the actress while politely suggesting that the company get its products NAFDAC-approved, especially because it makes skincare items for children.
In response to VeryDarkMan, Nkechi held a live video in which she vehemently criticized him and presented evidence of the NAFDAC number associated with the products she promoted.
The actress, who clarified that she is not an ambassador of the brand, cursed the young man, threatening that she would fight him online and also show up in his ‘shanty’ house in Abuja to mess him up.
Reacting to the threat, VeryDarkMan cautioned Nkechi not to underestimate him, stressing that he had less to lose than she did.
He outlined three potential ways he could jeopardize her career and potentially revoke her American visa.
One such method involved Nkechi Blessing’s act of taking a photo of an Instagram user who commented on their skincare brand controversy and sharing it on her status, where she allegedly used offensive language against the individual.
VeryDarkMan argued that this behavior constituted a serious offense that could lead to visa complications if reported to the embassy.
