In a post shared on her Instagram page, DJ Switch expressed her dissatisfaction with Pastor Adeboye’s emphasis on praying for Nigeria without addressing the root causes of the country’s challenges.
The entertainer pointed out that Pastor Adeboye tends to avoid openly identifying the failures of those in power to serve the nation. she contrasted this approach with the actions of Jesus, whom she mentioned as having served and openly confronted corruption.
DJ Switch challenged the notion of “touch not my anointed,” suggesting that the anointing being referred to lacks genuine effectiveness or impact.
She called on religious leaders to not only encourage prayer but also to actively address and speak out against issues such as corruption that contribute to Nigeria’s challenges.
“Pastor Adeboye constantly urging Nigerians to pray for Nigeria… but rarely calls out the cause of Nigeria’s woes! Rarely calls them out for a failure to serve.
“The Jesus you worship served and called out corruption point blank! Some of una go say touch not my anointed! Anointing wey no dey anoint,” she wrote.
KanyiDaily recalls that Pastor Enoch Adeboye said that with God’s help, President Bola Tinubu could fix Nigeria and the nation would prosper under his administration.
