Mohbad Died Of Negligence From Quack Auxiliary Nurse – POLICE

The Nigerian Police have concluded their investigations into the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad and ruled that he ostensibly died out of negligence from a quack auxiliary nurse who administered drugs to him intravenously.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police CP Idowu Owohunwa while addressing gentlemen of the presso said wholistic investigations so far conducted point to the nurse who was invited to treat the injury Mohbad sustained during a violent fight with his childhood friend Prime Boy at his Lekki residence.

The police boss disclosed that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were being held culpable over earlier physical assault, bullying and assault occasioning harm on the deceased adding the file to ascertain their culpability had been sent to the DPP for advice.

According to CP Idowu,

“The unfortunate death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad on 12th September 2023 triggered widely held Suspicion on the circumstances surrounding his death and allegations of Complicity of some personalities on the process.

In consequence, I inaugurated a special investigation team with the main aim of undertaking detailed, fair, professional, transparent, rule of law guided and evidenced-led homicide investigations.

The main goal of this initiative is not only to unravel the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death but to deliver justice to Mohbad. I had while inaugurating the special investigation team projected a two-week time line for the police interim report with the assurance that members of the public will be kept abreast of the investigation as much as legally and professionally permissible.

I can confirm today that the interim report is now ready and this media briefing is in fulfillment of our assurance to keep Lagosian and Nigeria and indeed the international community abreast of the status of the case. This briefing therefore focuses on police investigative action since the investigations commenced and the strength of facts and evidential findings so far established and ground findings of further action regarding the investigations.

“The investigation process was directed to addressing two fundamental factors: firstly, what are the immediate chain of events that occasioned the death of Mohbad. Secondly, who are the actors that could within the extant criminal laws and procedures be evidentially held criminally liable either individually or jointly for the death of Mohbad on September 12, 2023.

In addressing the latter components of these questions, due investigation action was focused on possible Complicity by Abdulazeez Adesina Fashila aka Naira Marley, and Samson Balogun aka Sam Larry, who both were severally alleged on social media of bullying and physically assaulting the deceased during his lifetime. It also focuses on the social media that the NDLEA could be complicit in his death following a viral video in which the deceased raised a narrative of his experience in their custody.

“The essence of this investigation is to establish if there is any evidential or circumstantial proof to directly link Naira Marley, Sam Larry or NDLEA to the eventual death of Mohbad on September 12, 2023.

“Following the inauguration of special investigation team detectives have covered several grounds. One, the identification and interrogation of vital witnesses. A total of 26 vital witnesses have so far been identified and statements recorded by the police. These include the following, Mr. Aloba Joseph Oluwabamiwo, the father of the deceased, Mrs Abosede Aloba mother of the deceased, Mrs Kolawole Kemi Bose, deceased’s sister, Miss Oluwakemi Blessing, deceased’s sister, Mr. Aloba Oluwapemi deceased’s brother, Mrs Cynthia Adebanjo deceased’s wife, Miss Seyi Awonuga, deceased’s manager, Mr. Aderemo Boluwatife, deceased’s personal Assistant, Mr Ajisegiri Ayobami Sultan, deceased’s DJ, Olarewaju Adedoja, deceased’s personal photographer, Mr. Idris busari deceased friend, other friends, the driver of the prado Jeep that took Mohbad to Ikorodu for a show where Mohbad mistakingly hit the side mirror of the vehicle when he wanted to punch mohammed, his childhood friend during a violent fight, Mr Soso Soberekan is the show promoter and organiser of the show to promote his product ‘De General Bitters’ and was the one who invited Mohbad to Ikorodu on the night of September 10, 2023 where the fight between Prime Boy and Mohbad ensued and led to the injury on his right hand the chain of events that eventually led to his death.

Others are Dr. Okusola Joseph, medical director of Kuramel Hospital Lekki Lagos where Mohbad was rushed to and confirmed dead on arrival on September 12, 2023, Dr Eke Debora Oluwatosin, he was a medical director who certified Mohbad dead on arrival at 15.45hrs.

“The written evidence of the witnesses is of high evidential value that led to the identification of the suspects and the respective roles played in the death of the singer. Five suspects have so far been arrested, interrogated and detained.

Miss Feyisayo Ogedegbe is the auxiliary nurse who was contacted and invited by Ayobami Sidq aka ‘Spending’, a friend of Mohbad to treat the singer at his residence. She eventually came on Tuesday 12, September 2023, and administered three different injections which are to have a chain reaction that directly led to the eventual death of Mohbad.

She is the principal suspect and she acknowledged that it was the reactions of the injections she gave to Mohbad that led to his death. Other expert opinions corroborated her admittance. Her admittance of administering doses of tetanus toxants, paracetamol, intravenous injections and cetrazone injections which was also administered intravenous on Mohbad at his residence immediately triggered vomiting, goose bumps and convulsions that eventually resulted in the singer’s death.”
