The Lagos State Police Command had initially requested a 30-day remand to complete their investigation into the death of 2-year-old singer, Mohbad.
Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun, however, ruled in favor of a 21-day remand for Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and the other suspects on Wednesday afternoon.
The police had summoned Naira Marley and Sam Larry, arraigning them before the Yaba Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, seeking custody for investigative purposes.
The controversy stems from the death of Mohbad on September 12, 2023, in Lagos, with burial taking place the following day.
Despite the denial of allegations linking them to Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley and Sam Larry faced police invitation and subsequent court arraignment.
KanyiDaily recalls that the police had also declared Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy, wanted for failing to honor an invitation regarding Mohbad’s death.
