Ogbu Johnson Finally Reveals Why He Fought With Zubby Michael On Movie Set

Nollywood actor, Ogbu Johnson has addressed the controversy trailing a video featuring a staged fight scene between him and his senior colleague, Zubby Michael.

KanyiDaily recalls that Zubby Michael and Ogbu Johnson engaged in a severe physical fight on set that went viral, sparking many reactions online.

Reacting in a statement shared on his Instagram page, Ogbu clarified that the video is part of a movie they are working on, and the apparent conflict is purely fictional.

He expressed concern over the misinterpretation of the video by some individuals, emphasizing that it is essential to distinguish between on-screen performances and real-life relationships.

The actor denied any intention of disrespecting Zubby Michael and apologizes if the video has caused any embarrassment to his senior colleague.

He stresses the importance of understanding the nature of their work as actors and urges everyone to dismiss any insinuations of a genuine feud.

Ogbu Johnson said, “This public statement is for the attention of my fans, followers, professional colleague.

“My attention has been drawn to blogs and various online posts from some individuals insinuating that a certain behind the scene video clip posted on Instagram by the director of a movie which I am playing a role in, where a fight scene between myself and a senior colleague Zubby Michael is being misunderstood by the public and misinterpreted as a real fight is concerning.

“The assumption is not the case. Many concerned colleagues, fans, industry watchers, allied professional platforms and creative industries gate keepers have expressed their concern about remarks and unguarded comments being made by individuals who are not aware that the video being shared online is nothing but a make believe extract from a movie in the making.

“The comments my attention is being drawn to suggest that such remarks if not checked could result in a negative escalation of what ordinarily ought to be a professional job well done to enhance the quality of movie making stunts.

“Some persons have gone ahead trying to create a rift between myself and my senior brother and industry boss by making it appear that I was disrespectful in interpreting my role to the satisfaction of the director and thereby trying to create bad blood between us.

“I make this statement to clear all doubts that I in no way mean to disrespect the person of Zubby Michael my senior colleague and will do no such thing. If this trending video of this make believe fight is causing any embarrassment to his person or personality, I am truly sorry about that and wish to state that we are not in any way at war with ourselves and there is no beef contrary to what some individuals are trying to project.

“Pls kindly discountenance any insinuation that there is more to the circulating video than what the working actor or actress experience in the line of duty.
