Reno Omokri Criticizes Pastor Adeboye Over His Prayer For Israel’s Victory Against Palestine

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) for expressing support for Israel in the ongoing conflict with Palestine.

Pastor Adeboye, in a brief video shared on his Twitter page, conveyed prayers for Israel, expressing confidence in God’s granting them victory over Hamas in Palestine.

“Hello my beloved brothers in Israel, I want you to know that we are praying for you, that all members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God all over the world are standing by you at this critical moment.

“The almighty God, the only one of Israel, will give you absolute victory and give you permanent peace from now on in the mighty name of Jesus,” the cleric said.

Reacting to this, Omokri questioned the omission of mention of Palestinians in Adeboye’s message and drew attention to the biblical directive to show love to the household of faith first.

The sociopolitical activist highlighted that there are more Christians in Palestine than in Israel. He quoted Bible verses, emphasizing the principles of love and impartiality.

Expressing empathy for the Palestinian people, Omokri emphasized that they, too, are God’s children deserving of love, prayers, and non-military support to alleviate their suffering.

He urged a more comprehensive consideration of the situation, emphasizing the importance of extending compassion and support to both sides of the conflict.

He wrote, ‘’But, sir @PastorEAAdeboye, what about our brothers and sisters in Palestine? A greater percentage of Palestinians are Christians than the Israeli population. Half a million of them, to be precise.

“Doesn’t the Bible, in Galatians 6:10, ask us to first show love to members of the household of faith before others? Perhaps they may feel abandoned that your message did not even mention them.

“If I were a Palestinian and saw your message, I would sink into further despair. Acts 10:34 says God does not show partiality.  But sir, are we not being partial when we pray for Israel and ignore Palestine? Perhaps it is an oversight.

“Sir, I have been to Palestine. I will not wish their condition on my own enemy. They are God’s children, too. Don’t they deserve our love and prayers and every possible non-military support we can rouse to alleviate their tremendous human suffering?’

KanyiDaily recalls that the Lagos State Government recently airlifted 310 pilgrims from Jerusalem due to the escalating conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas militant group.
