On Wednesday night, October 11, Wizkid made his first public appearance by attending a candlelight procession held in her honour, following a nearly month-long period of silence as he grieved the loss.
At the subsequent burial service on Thursday, the singer attended the ceremony with his partner, Jada Pollock and his son, Zion Balogun.
In a video circulating on social media, Wizkid who is dressed in native was seen shedding tears at the wake-keep of his late mother.
