Wizkid Breaks Down In Tears At The Wake-Keep Of His Late Mother [Video]

Afrobeats superstar, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has been caught on camera crying during the wake-keep ceremony for his late mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun.

KanyiDaily recalls that Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Aare confirmed the sorrowful news of his mother’s death after a brief illness in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.

On Wednesday night, October 11, Wizkid made his first public appearance by attending a candlelight procession held in her honour, following a nearly month-long period of silence as he grieved the loss.

At the subsequent burial service on Thursday, the singer attended the ceremony with his partner, Jada Pollock and his son, Zion Balogun.

In a video circulating on social media, Wizkid who is dressed in native was seen shedding tears at the wake-keep of his late mother.
