Despite the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announcing the scheduling of fresh polls in select polling units within the Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area on November 18, 2023, the outcome remains in favor of Usman Ododo as the winner of the Kogi State governorship election held on November 11.
Prof Johnson Urama, the Returning Officer for the Kogi State governorship election disclosed this on Sunday.
According to him, he said that Ahmed Ododo of the APC met all the necessary legal requirements, and is hereby announced as the winner and duly elected.
“Ahmed Ododo of APC, having certified by the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” said Urama.
Kanyi Daily recalls that Yahaya Bello of Kogi State had commended the conduct of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security personnel during the off-cycle governorship election in the state.
