Ngozi Felix, in a statement in Umuahia, pointed out that these appointments demonstrate Governor Otti’s commitment to gender equality.
She also praised the governor for choosing more women for different political and administrative roles since he assumed office.
These appointments confirm Governor Otti’s dedication to empowering women in policy-making and governance.
“Indeed, these appointments have proven that you are truly a He-For-She and gender champion governor, by ensuring greater participation of women in policy-making and governance.
“As you champion equality, you make our state and society better for all,” she stated.
The commissioner also offered her congratulations to the recently appointed permanent secretaries and encouraged them to wholeheartedly serve and contribute to the success of the administration led by the Labour Party.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN),reportst that out of the 24 newly appointed permanent secretaries, 13 of them are women.
