The lady, whose sister received the unexpected performance, shared the experience on her Twitter page, expressing gratitude to Davido.
She wrote, “My sister’s wedding! He came straight from the airport to surprise her and her husband! Thank you @davido for honoring us last night!! May God continue to bless you always!!”
Providing more context, she explained how she approached Davido about attending the event, recounting, “When I told @davido my sister was getting married and asked if he would surprise her and her husband, he said consider it done and asked for the date.”
“He mentioned he’d be in Dubai but committed to flying in straight from the airport, and indeed he did!
“He consistently followed up to confirm the date and reassured me he would be there without any prompting. He said, ‘#TheHat, don’t worry, I got you.’”
Concluding her post, she expressed the joy on her sister and brother’s faces, describing the moment as “TIMELESS” and extended heartfelt wishes for Davido’s continued success.
“The sheer joy on my sister and brother’s faces says it all: TIMELESS!! @davido, may nations, kings, and queens be drawn to the brilliance of your rising, and may mighty kings continue to appreciate your radiance,” she wrote.
