The actor has faced widespread criticism, particularly from Nigerians and colleagues supporting his first wife, May Edochie, following his decision to marry Judy Austin as a second wife.
In a recent podcast, Yul Edochie claimed that the opposition stems from envy, emphasizing that he believes some actors are resentful due to his perceived success and looks.
He said, ‘’Most of the Nollywood people who are against me for something that doesn’t concern them are doing so because of envy.
“Look at all of them, both the male and female. First of all, line them up, first of all I am finer than them. I am doing better than all of them.
“There are some of them who have earned N150, 000 for a movie in the last 10 years, they have not grown So for them it is envy.”
Yul Edochie further defended himself on his social media page, asserting that jealousy is the motivating factor behind the criticism.
The actor claimed that his career, name, acting prowess, and even his voice surpass those who oppose him.
Sharing the video, he wrote: “Jealousy wan kill them. My career is bigger than theirs. My name is bigger than theirs. My acting prowess, they can’t match it even in their next life. My voice alone is bigger than all their careers put together. 😀😀😀😀.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Yul Edochie recently revealed that he remains unfazed by the constant barrage of insults he receives from online critics.
