The Nigerian Official Selection Committee, NOSC, has chosen the Sundance Festival award-winning film “Mami Wata” as its nominee for the 96th Academy Awards’ International Feature Film, IFF, category.
However, the picture fell short following the release of the shortlisted films from the 15 countries that made the cut.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released the award shortlists on its website.

The 96th Oscars, which will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024, will be aired live in more than 200 territories worldwide from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation, Hollywood.
