The situation garnered significant attention on social media when the Land of Goshen Cathedral included Portable and Fuji singer, Pasuma, in the lineup for their Ankara praise night.
Reacting to his removal from the praise night, Portable shared a video on social media where he insisted on his participation in the church program.
Portable disclosed that the church had already compensated him with N5 million, emphasizing his commitment to performing.
The singer proclaimed that both he and Pasuma, being children of God, would perform despite being disinvited.
He invoked God’s name and urged Celestial Church leaders not to judge him solely based on his appearance.
Portable said, “Cele we must do the show o, you have paid me N5 million and we must do it. Pasuma will perform, I will also perform and we must do it.
“This child of God is coming. Land of Goshen Cathedral please in God’s name, consider us as children of God, don’t use my looks to judge me.”
KanyiDaily recalls that gospel singer, Samuel Oguche, popularly known as Onoja, also triggered outrage after he arrived on stage inside a casket for his church performance in Jalingo, Taraba State.
