Kenneth Okonkwo Accuses Corrupt INEC Officials of Inflicting Hardship on Nigerians

Kenneth Okonkwo, a spokesperson for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, stated that Nigerian people did not vote for the extent of hardship currently witnessed in the country.

Okonkwo claimed that the present hardship was imposed on Nigerians through what he described as a “technical glitch” by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

The term ‘technical glitch’ was used by the electoral body while explaining its inability to transmit results of the last presidential election to its result viewing portal.

Prior to the election, INEC had promised and assured Nigerians that it would transmit election results online in real-time.

However, its failure to fulfill this promise sparked numerous controversies, leading many to question the credibility of the final results provided by INEC

However, the Supreme Court has subsequently ruled that INEC has the authority to determine its method of transmitting election results.

Meanwhile, amidst the rising hunger in the country, Okonkwo, in a post on his social media handle on Monday, cursed corrupt INEC officials, accusing them of being the masterminds who have installed fellow corrupt individuals to inflict suffering on Nigerians

He wrote, “Nigerians did not vote for this level of hardship. This hardship is technically glitched on us by INEC. O’ God multiply hardship and sufferings on INEC officials that have ever rigged elections in Nigeria. They are thieves that have enthroned fellow thieves to inflict pains on us.”

Kanyi Daily recalls that Nollywood actor and Spokesman for the Labour Party (LP), Kenneth Okonkwo had faulted the Nigeria Police Force for handcuffing Nigerian singer, Seun Kuti after he voluntarily surrendered to the police.
