KanyiDaily recalls that Mr Ibu passed away on Saturday night, a few weeks after returning from the hospital where he underwent successful surgeries, including the amputation of one of his legs.
Reacting on his Instagram page, Nkem Owoh emphasized that though Mr. Ibu may no longer be visible, his spirit and legacy continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and admired him.
Osuofia accompanied his message with a photo of a candlelight symbolizing mourning, along with an image of the departed actor.
In his tribute, Nkem Owoh stated, “Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. We hold you close in our thoughts. R.I.P Mr Ibu.”
Taking to his Instagram page, Chiwetalu Agu expressed profound grief by sharing a touching video of Mr. Ibu, revealing that they had spoken just last week, during which the late actor assured him of his improving health.
Recalling their last conversation filled with laughter and declarations of victory over challenges, Agu expressed sorrow over not realizing it would be their final interaction.
The veteran actor wished Mr. Ibu eternal rest and sincerely hoped for peace in the afterlife.
He wrote. “Still speechless we spoke last week, u said u were getting better, we laughed and said the enemies have lost, little did I know it’s the last time we would ever talk.,REST IN PEACE KPOKIRIKPO!,HOPE U FIND PEACE TILL WE MEET AGAIN!”
