“Stay Away From Me” – Tunde Ayeni Files Cease And Desist Injunction Against Ex-Girlfriend, Adaobi Alagwu

Nigerian Billionaire businessman Tunde Ayeni has taken legal action against his ex-girlfriend, Adaobi Alagwu, for unlawful entry and trespassing.

The controversy emerged in December 2023 when Adaobi Alagwu made a contentious visit to her former office in Abuja, a space initially provided by Tunde Ayeni but later withdrawn.

The move, under the pretext of retrieving her property (an air conditioner), sparked public outcry, leading Ayeni to file a petition for unlawful entry and trespassing.

Ayeni disclosed this in a “Cease and Desist” legal notice he sent to Alagwu entitled, “Withdrawal of Consent for Use of the Family Name ‘Ayeni’ With Respect To Your Daughter Omarosa.”

He also wrote the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to void any international passport presented by Adaobi Alagwu and her child, bearing his name.

Ayeni, represented by his lawyer Dele Adesina (SAN), specified that Alagwu’s daughter has no familial relationship with him and, therefore, is not entitled to use his name on her travel document.

This follows Alagwu’s adoption of the businessman’s name on her daughter’s international passport even after a DNA test had established that she wasn’t Ayeni’s child.

The legal action by Ayeni comes after the recent arrest and detention of Alagwu for trespassing on his private property in Abuja.

The ongoing dispute between the two has involved Ayeni issuing multiple press statements refuting paternity claims and addressing Alagwu’s adoption of his name for herself and her daughter.

Expressing his seriousness in handling the matter, Ayeni emphasized, “I want this matter to be handled with every seriousness it deserves. I don’t want anything to be swept under the carpet.”

Through his legal representatives, Ayeni directly appealed to Adaobi, urging her to respect his privacy and cease interference in his life.

Please leave me alone, allow me to have my peace,” Ayeni conveyed to Adaobi. “I’m not interested in whatever you’re doing. Just stay away from me.”

In January this year, Alagwu allegedly entered illegally, into one of Ayeni’s properties formerly occupied by her, and of which she had surrendered possession over six months prior.

Her reasons for the unauthorised entry were not acceptable to Ayeni, which necessitated the report of the incident at the Wuse 2 Police Station, Abuja.

Alagwu was subsequently invited to the police station to answer the allegations against her. In response, she claimed that she never visited the property but sent one of her underlings to pick up her air conditioner from the building.

In the presence of the DPO, Ayeni who joined the meeting via a phone call, warned Alagwu to keep away from his property and his family. He urged the police to do their job and give the matter definite closure.

It was alleged that through Ayeni’s submissions, Alagwu tried to talk over him and persistently hurled insults at him; this eventually irked the police chief and he ordered that Alagwu be detained behind the counter until she calmed and displayed decorum.

Ayeni expressed frustration with Adaobi’s actions, stating, “With the circumstances with which you were booted out of that property, if you had any iota of shame, you shouldn’t have gone back there for any reason.”

By filing a cease and desist injunction, Tunde Ayeni is making it clear that he will not tolerate further intrusion into his private affairs by Adaobi Jennifer Alagwu and her family.

Meanwhile,  South African disk jockey (DJ), Black Coffee has recounted his wife, Enhle Mbali’s ungrateful reaction to his car gift.
