Ladipoe, a rapper under Don Jazzy’s label, recently took a swipe at Wizkid over his previous controversial remark about the state of hip hop.
Taking to his X page, Ladipoe wrote: “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”
A fan brought Wizkid’s attention to the shade on Monday morning, but the singer dismissed it, stating, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”
Wizkid further retweeted two posts implying that he was referring to Don Jazzy as a social media influencer.
KanyiDaily recalls that Wizkid recently responded to critics who took issue with his claim that he does not solely identify as an Afrobeat artist.
