Kannywood veteran actress, Fatima Usman, also known as Fati Slow Motion, has passed away.

Kano-based activist, Mansura Isa announced Fati’s death on her Facebook page on Tuesday.

According to Isa, Fati died on Monday night in Habasha near Sudan, where she will be buried while condolences will be received at her family home in Ungwa Uku, Kano.

The Executive Secretary of the Kano State Censorship Board, Abba El-Mustapha, confirmed the news on his X handle @abbaelmustaph1.

He prayed for her soul and asked for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

Fati Slow Motion has been part of the Kannywood movie industry for over 15 years.

This comes barely 24 hours following the death of a renowned Nollywood director, Reginald Ebere.
