Eedris Abdulkareem Drags Pastor Adeboye, President Tinubu In New Song, ‘Emi Lokan’

Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye, founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), in his new song ‘Emi Lokan’.

In the song, Eedris Abdulkareem slammed both Pastor Adeboye the current administration of President Bola Tinubu.

The rapper accused Pastor Adeboye of being silent during President Tinubu’s tenure, calling him a hypocrite.

He urged the cleric to be as critical of Tinubu’s government as he was of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

Eedris recalled how Adeboye called for a “one million man march” in 2010 over insecurity in Nigeria and questioned why he isn’t taking similar action now.

Wey our daddy Daddy Adeboye/ During Goodluck Jonathan, your voice was so loud/ You even vowed to stage a one million march/ Hunger and hardship under Tinubu government you sey Nigeria get spiritual problem/ Bàbá we need your one million disciples to protest against president Tinubu government/ Just the way you protested against Goodluck Jonathan/ Àbí leg don dey pain your disciples?” he sings.

Eedris also criticized Tinubu for supporting former President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he describes as incompetent and responsible for Nigeria’s current woes.

He mentioned the printing of N23 trillion by former Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele as part of the problems.

You know sey Buhari was incompetent, you still bring am to come destroy Nigeria/ Padi padi government/ Now you are the president/ Since Buhari don destroy Nigeria/ I hope sey you go bring am to judgment/ Emefiele printed N23 trillion,” he added.

The 50-year-old rapper also commendec the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) for its stance on the new national minimum wage.

He added that senators and house of Representative members should be paid N65,000, so “everybody would enjoy the suffering and smiling.”
