According to Daily Trust, sources close to the commissioner said Ahmed was found dead in his room on Monday morning, August 26, 2024.
Details about his death are still unclear, but the source said that concern arose when Ahmed did not come out of his room at his usual time.
It was gathered that some individuals in the house eventually forced open the door and found him dead inside.
The source said, “Oga is no more; he died early this morning.”
Usman Tar, the Commissioner of Information and Internal Security in Borno State, confirmed Ahmed’s death in a statement released in Maiduguri.
He said Ahmed would be buried according to Islamic rites, with the funeral set for 5:00 p.m. at Ahmed’s family house on Damboa Road, near Indimi’s residence.
