Dotun had commented on the October 13 incident involving the Super Eagles in Libya, claiming that such an event wouldn’t have occurred if former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi were still alive.
The media personality suggested that losing Gaddafi was Libya’s downfall, setting them back by two decades and leading to what he described as backward thinking.
“This would never have happened if Ghadaffi was alive. The biggest undoing to the country Libya is losing Ghadaffi. It took them two decades back. They think like pigs,” Dotun wrote on X.
His remarks sparked disagreement among some users, who accused him of portraying Gaddafi in a positive light. One user took the criticism further, saying, “No wonder your wife left you.”
Dotun noticed the comment and responded strongly to the user.
KanyiDaily recalls that OAP Dotun was previously married to Taiwo Oyebanjo, the younger sister of singer D’banj, but they have since divorced, with Taiwo gaining custody of their two daughters.
