“I’m Not Ashamed Of My Sexuality” – Khalid Comes Out As Gay

American singer, Khalid has publicly addressed his sexuality after being outed on social media.

The 26-year-old artist from El Paso, Texas, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday evening to confirm his sexuality.

In a short tweet, he wrote: “[LGBTQIA+ pride flag]!!! there yall go. next topic please lol.”

When a user commented, “Wait, hope Mr Khalid isn’t GEHHH!”

Khalid reposted the reply with a straightforward response: “I am! And that’s okay.”

In another tweet, he addressed the situation: “I got outted [sic] and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao), I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality, it ain’t nobody’s business! But I am okay with me [black heart emoji] love yall.”

The singer also responded to supportive fans. One commented, “The closet was glass baby. But we accept you. It’s not about who you love, it’s about your artistry! [white heart emoji].”

Khalid replied, “I wasn’t hiding anything! It’s just not any of your business.”

Another fan shared a clip from Khalid’s Satellite music video, calling it an “LGBTQ anthem” from 2022 that had been overlooked.

The fan added, “Either way… hate that Khalid was forced out, but he wasn’t hiding. He just didn’t need to TELL nobody.”

Khalid reposted the comment, writing, “Thank you!!!! I was never hiding.”

The controversy began earlier that day when fellow artist Hugo D Almonte made cryptic and explicit posts on X, suggesting he had been involved with a prominent gay R&B singer.

Hugo later shared a selfie of himself and Khalid, seemingly confirming the rumors and accusing Khalid of lying about their interactions.

Despite the unexpected outing, Khalid remained composed and wrapped up his eventful evening with a final message: “Aight love yall thank yall I’m off this [peace hand sign emoji].”

Khalid’s career continues to shine, with multiple chart-topping singles and diamond-certified tracks, making him one of R&B’s most successful artists.

KanyiDaily recalls that media personality, Daddy Freeze suggested that many celebrities are gay, not because of personal preference, but to boost their careers and gain influence in the entertainment industry.
