Former Alaafin’s Wife, Queen Dami Ends Romantic Relationship With Portable

Queen Dami, the former wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, has announced the end of her relationship with controversial musician Portable, citing repeated public humiliation.

Their fallout began on Wednesday when Portable disapproved of Queen Dami’s online presence, questioning her late-night activity, and insinuated doubts about her behavior and lifestyle.

The singer accused her of ignoring his alleged advice to stay offline and made disparaging remarks, asking if she was a “housewife or a runs girl.”

“What are you doing online at this time? Do you want to be practicing polygamy? Do I not tell you not to be coming online at this time. Are you a prostitute? What is a housewife doing online at the time? Are you a prostitute?”, he asked.

In response to the insults, Queen Dami expressed her anger and frustration on social media, reaffirming her decision to leave the relationship, stating that she could no longer endure the humiliation.

“I’m done. This is too much for me. I can’t take this embarrassment again. Oloriburuku somebody. I’m gone for good. Go and eat your house”, she wrote.

Portable later confirmed their breakup, revealing that Queen Dami had moved out of his house.

“Thank God, she has left. I was taking care of the child she had for Alaafin because of the respect I have for him”, he said.

Queen Dami was previously married to the late Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi, who passed away in April 2022. She and Portable became romantically linked in August 2023, sparking widespread speculation on social media.

Portable claimed he would not have associated with Queen Dami if the late monarch were alive, adding that he does not pursue married women.

While their relationship lasted, Queen Dami often referred to Portable as “oko mi,” a Yoruba term meaning “my husband.”

This comes weeks after Portable announced his intentions to have a child with Queen Dami during a dispute with his fourth baby mama, Ashabi Simple.
