Earlier reports suggested that the UK government planned to deport Pastor Tobi Adegboyega after investigations revealed the misappropriation of £1.87 million in church funds.
Despite his legal challenge, an immigration tribunal reportedly ruled in favor of deportation, citing findings of financial misconduct.
Addressing the situation in a video shared on Instagram, the 44-year-old pastor reassured his supporters that there was no reason to worry.
“I’ve heard a lot today, and I’m doing this because of our fans, our friends, people who are worried. I’m right here at home, no cause for alarm, and naturally I’ll dismiss things that have to do with retrogression,” Adegboyega said.
He encouraged Nigerians to take pride in his resilience, emphasizing his ability to thrive in the UK despite challenges.
“Every Nigerian should be proud of me. In the UK, a city that is well known for pulling people down, I’ve survived all sorts. So, the matter that they are propagating now is the smallest of matter,” he added.
Adegboyega concluded by expressing confidence in his position, stressing, “What I’m trying to say is, no panic. My love London City is my city and nobody can do anything.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Pastor Dapo Adegboyega SPAC Nation, was also accused of defrauding a church member identified as Racheal Daniel of £110,000 (N103 million) in London.
