In a recent appearance on the “Honest Bunch Podcast,” May D discussed his career journey and recalled the impact of his 2011 hit single “Soundtrack”.
The music star claimed the song was even bigger than Wizkid’s *Holla At Your Boy*, which was one of the standout hits of the time.
“Back then, it was Wizkid, David, and I. I was even bigger. Wetin be ‘Holla at Your Boy’ compared to ‘Soundtrack?,” May D said, emphasizing the success of *Soundtrack* compared to Wizkid’s early hit.
May D also shared memories of his relationship with Davido, revealing that he once tried to house him when Davido’s father temporarily banned him from pursuing music. However, Davido couldn’t stay with him due to May D’s living situation in P-Square’s boys’ quarters at the time.
The singer spoke about meeting P-Square in 2008 and collaborating with them on hits like “Chop My Money” and “Do As I Do” (featuring Tiwa Savage), which were part of their 2011 album “Invasion”.
