Timileyin Ajayi, charged with culpable homicide punishable by death under Section 221 of the Northern Nigeria Penal Code, appeared before Justice Simon Aboki on Monday.
The 32-year-old suspect, who previously admitted to killing the 24-year-old NYSC member, pleaded not guilty during his arraignmen.
Ajayi was arrested for killing Salome when Salome visited him at his residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
Police reports revealed that Ajayi killed and dismembered Salome’s body, attempting to dispose of her head when he was caught on January 12, 2025.
Weapons, including a knife and machetes, were recovered from him.
But upon his arraignment on Monday before Justice Simon Aboki, the suspect pleaded not guilty to the murder allegation.
