KanyiDaily recalls that Sea King’s rearrest on Thursday was linked to a petition filed on behalf of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
On Monday, activist and Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore confirmed that Sea King had been released on administrative bail.
He revealed that they initially rejected the police’s demand for a Level 10 or 12 civil servant as a guarantor, which led to a revised agreement that secured his freedom.
“The Church does not intend to interfere with the ongoing police investigation, especially as there is an official complaint filed by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum against Olumide Ogunsanwo John (Seaking303) and others on behalf of the Fathers of Faith, including Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye,” Sowore announced on X.
A video circulating online shows Sea King alongside Sowore, lawyer Deji Adeyanju, and others celebrating his release.
After spending four days in detention, the Tiktoker expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and promised to share more details once he retrieves his phone.
KanyiDaily recalls that in December 2024, Sea King was arrested for allegedly insulting President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in viral social media videos.
