Juventus Sack Thiago Motta, Appoint Igor Tudor As New Head Coach

Juventus has appointed Igor Tudor as head coach of the Men’s First Team after parting ways with Thiago Motta.

The decision comes after a series of poor results that have left the club struggling in Serie A.

In a statement released on Sunday, Juventus thanked Thiago Motta and his coaching staff for their efforts and professionalism during their time at the club.

The statement also confirmed that Igor Tudor has been appointed as the new head coach and will oversee his first training session on Monday, March 24.

It is titled, “Thiago Motta no longer First Team coach, Igor Tudor takes over.”

“Juventus FC announce that Thiago Motta has been relieved of his duties as Men’s First Team coach.

“The club would like to thank Thiago Motta and all of his staff for their professionalism and for the work they have carried out in recent months with passion and dedication. The club wish them the best of luck for the future.

“Juventus FC also announce that the Men’s First Team will now be led by Igor Tudor, who will take charge of his first training session tomorrow, Monday, 24 March,” it read.

Thiago Motta, who took charge of Juventus about eight months ago, failed to deliver the expected results.

The team’s struggles included a crushing 4-0 home defeat to Atalanta, their worst home loss in over five decades.

Juventus currently sits fifth in the league table, putting their Champions League qualification hopes in danger.

To turn things around, the club has brought back Igor Tudor, a former Juventus player and assistant coach.

He has previously managed clubs like Marseille and Lazio. His initial contract runs until June 30, with the possibility of an extension depending on the team’s performance.

His immediate task will be to stabilize the squad and get their season back on track.
