Rivers Sole Administrator Ibok-Ete Ibas Summons Fubara To Government House

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral (rtd.) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, has summoned the suspended Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

Fubara was summoned along with his deputy, Dr. Ngozi Ordu, to appear before him at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

This was announced in a statement released on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibibia Lucky Worika.

Worika said the summons is part of a review of appointments made during Fubara’s time in office over the last two years.

The suspended governor is expected to bring along all documents and records relating to those appointments, including explanations for the decisions and the processes followed.

The meeting is also intended to give Fubara a chance to explain why he believes he should be reinstated as governor.

The Rivers sole administrator said attendance is mandatory for both the suspended governor and his deputy.

The state government says the move is part of broader efforts to ensure accountability, transparency, and long-term stability in Rivers State governance.

The statement reads: “RIVERS GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
