President Tinubu’s Condolence Visit To Benue Delayed Due To Heavy Flood [Video]

President Bola Tinubu had to delay his scheduled condolence visit to Benue State on Wednesday due to heavy flooding that blocked parts of the Lafia-Makurdi highway.

A video aired by TVC showed the presidential security convoy stuck in floodwaters along the key road linking Nasarawa and Benue.

Several vehicles were seen unable to move, while security personnel tried to assess the situation, with the road completely impassable due to the rising water.

President Tinubu is expected to visit Benue to sympathize with victims of recent violent attacks and hold talks with local leaders.

KanyiDaily recalls that suspected herdsmen attacked Yelwata, a refugee community in Guma Local Government Area, on Friday, killing more than 200 people.
